Character background and lore

Tanjiro Kamado is the main protagonist of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, a manga created by Koyoharu Gotouge. His life is turned upside down when his family is slaughtered by a demon and his sister Nezuko is transformed into a demonic creature.

Determined to find a way to restore Nezuko’s humanity, Tanjiro joins the Demon Slayers, a secret organisation dedicated to fighting the creatures that threaten humanity.

He stands out for his exceptional sense of smell, his empathy and his gradual mastery of various sword-fighting techniques, notably those associated with the Breath of Water and later the Hinokami Kagura.

Throughout his journey, Tanjiro faces ever more powerful demons whilst maintaining a rare compassion towards some of his enemies. This 30 cm MEGA figurine thus celebrates one of the most iconic heroes of contemporary Japanese animation in a particularly imposing format.
