Origin and world of the character
Misa Amane is a leading character in the manga and animated adaptation Social Thriller and fantasy Death Note, created by scriptwriter Tsugumi Ōba and illustrator Takeshi Obata. A model and popular idol, her trajectory changes when she comes into possession of a second Death Note notebook and makes a pact to obtain the "Shinigami Eyes", an ability that allows her to discern the name and lifespan of any individual with a simple glance. Devoted as she is to Light Yagami (Kira), whom she sees as her saviour, she establishes herself as the "Second Kira". Misa puts her powers and her supernatural notebook at Light's service to support him in his quest for a new world and to help him discover the true identity of Detective L.
