Origin and backstory of the character
Directly inspired by the famous comic book series launched in 2010 by Grant Morrison, this figure celebrates the Batman Incorporated (or Batman Inc.) era. After returning from an involuntary journey through time, Bruce Wayne makes a radical decision: to stop operating solely in the shadows of Gotham and take a new step forward. He publicly reveals that he has been funding the Dark Knight’s activities for years and establishes a global franchise of elite vigilantes. Travelling across the globe, Bruce recruits and equips local Batmen (such as Nightrunner in France or El Gaucho in Argentina) to form an international army capable of countering the global criminal syndicate known as Leviathan.
This Funko Pop! figure faithfully captures the modernised design of the combat armour developed for this saga. The Dark Knight sports his classic grey suit, his form-fitting black boots and gloves, and a sleek, bright yellow utility belt. The most distinctive feature of this version is the emblem on his chest: the famous black bat logo is surrounded by a stylised yellow oval, slightly raised, evoking a heroic and triumphant return to his roots. An essential centrepiece for all fans of modern-era comics wishing to expand the Bat-Family tree in their display cabinet.
