Character background and lore
Inspired by the work and expanded universe of Dandadan, Ken Takakura, nicknamed Okarun by his classmates, is an introverted teenager with a passion for alien theories who has spent his school life pursuing a single goal: to prove the existence of aliens and find his place within a social group. Mocked by his peers, his life is turned upside down forever following a challenge set by Momo Ayase, a fervent believer in spirits. Whilst exploring a tunnel reputed to be haunted, he falls victim to the curse of the fearsome Mémé Turbo, losing his private parts and becoming the vessel for a spectral entity of devastating power. To survive, Okarun must demonstrate extraordinary strength of character and learn to trigger a partial physical transformation. This hybrid state alters his appearance, granting him supersonic speed, superhuman agility and a combative melancholy, transforming this once-timid schoolboy into an elite fighter indispensable for repelling occult and extraterrestrial assaults.
