Origin and background of the character
Created by manga artist Yukinobu Tatsu, Dandadan is a high-octane shōnen series that brilliantly blends esoteric action, extraterrestrial phenomena and offbeat humour. The plot thickens when young Momo Ayase and her friend Okarun find themselves cursed and hunted by paranormal entities. Seiko Ayase is Momo’s grandmother, although she has an incredibly youthful and energetic appearance that fools everyone. Under her battle alias ‘Santa Dodaria’, she proves to be an accomplished and extremely powerful medium, capable of drawing on the power of local deities to purify malevolent spirits and erect impenetrable spiritual barriers around her home. With a strong character and a protective nature, she acts as an unwitting mentor to the teenagers as they face off against yokai and aliens. This Funko Pop! figurine captures her presence and unique style, making it an essential item for all fans of the franchise.
