Origin and character lore

The first PlayStation marked Sony’s entry into the home console market. Its use of CD-ROMs and its catalogue, which blended Japanese and Western titles, helped to popularise 3D games amongst a very wide audience. This Console Boss pays tribute to this era by bringing together four heroes associated with different facets of its catalogue.
