Taka Corp and Plastoy pay tribute to the famous space pirate created by Buichi Terasawa with this collectable figurine dedicated to Cobra. Crafted on a 1/6 scale and measuring approximately 28 cm in height, this resin figure depicts the hero of *Space Adventure Cobra* in an iconic pose, his formidable Psychogun ready to fire. Production is limited to 500 numbered copies.
Cobra is depicted in his classic look, with his blond hair, confident expression and characteristic tight-fitting red jumpsuit. His left arm reveals the Psychogun, the energy weapon concealed beneath his artificial forearm, which has become one of the series’ most instantly recognisable symbols. The pose deliberately emphasises the character’s relaxed and confident demeanour, even when he is ready for battle.
The sculpture captures the space pirate’s athletic build and the retro-futuristic lines that characterise Buichi Terasawa’s work. The resin finish accentuates the contours of the face, the outfit and the Psychogun, whilst the composition is designed to allow the character to be clearly viewed from various angles. With stated dimensions of approximately 28 x 28 x 28 cm, this piece has a striking presence whilst remaining suitable for a collector’s display cabinet.
Each piece comes with a numbered certificate of authenticity. With a limited run of 500 pieces and a 1/6 scale, this figurine is aimed at collectors of the Cobra universe and fans of Japanese science fiction productions from the 1970s and 1980s.

Character background and universe (Lore)
Cobra is the hero of the science-fiction manga created by Buichi Terasawa in 1978. An adventurer and wanted space pirate, he travels the galaxy alongside his faithful android partner, Armanoid Lady. The series blends space opera, action, adventure and humour in a universe populated by interstellar criminals, bounty hunters, alien civilisations and legendary treasures.
At one point in his life, Cobra alters his face and deliberately erases his memories in order to escape his enemies. He then leads an ordinary life under a new identity until his past resurfaces and he rediscovers his true identity. From then on, he resumes his adventures across space and once again finds himself facing the formidable Pirates’ Guild.
His most famous weapon is the Psychogun, an energy cannon concealed within his artificial left arm. Unlike a conventional weapon, its fire is directly linked to Cobra’s will and mental energy, which allows him, in particular, to aim with great freedom. The hero also uses a Colt Python 77 as well as various gadgets during his adventures.
Cobra stands out as much for his physical abilities and arsenal as for his temperament. Charismatic, wry and readily provocative, he generally keeps his cool even in the face of the most dangerous situations. His relationship with Armanoïde Lady and his recurring conflict with figures such as Crystal Bowie are central elements of his story.
This figurine faithfully captures this now-iconic image of the character: Cobra striking a confident pose, the Psychogun drawn, ready to set off on yet another adventure across the galaxy.
