Player’s background and career (Lore)
Lennart Karl is a German footballer born on 22 February 2008 in Frammersbach. After playing for Eintracht Frankfurt and SV Viktoria Aschaffenburg, he joined the FC Bayern Campus in the summer of 2022.
A left-footed attacking player, Karl stands out in particular for his dribbling ability, his technical skill in tight spaces and his clinical finishing. His performances with the U17 and then U19 teams saw him integrated into the first-team training sessions and squads at a very early stage.
He made his debut for Bayern’s first team in June 2025 during the FIFA Club World Cup, in a 10–0 victory over Auckland City. A few months later, he joined the professional squad on a permanent basis for the 2025–2026 season.
On 22 October 2025, during a Champions League match against Club Brugge, Karl scored at the age of just 17 years and 242 days. He thus became the youngest player in Bayern Munich’s history to score a goal in that competition.
His rapid progress continued with the German national team. After representing several youth sides, he made his debut for the senior Germany team in March 2026, aged 18 years and 33 days, making him one of the youngest German internationals in history.
