Armoured Owl-Bear Soft Toy — Baldur’s Gate 3 — Youtooz — 23 cm

Welcome one of Baldur’s Gate 3’s most endearing creatures into your collection with this soft toy depicting an armoured owl-bear. Produced by Youtooz under official licence, this 23 cm version combines the massive appearance of the fantastical creature with a soft, compact design, perfect for both cuddling and display.

The soft toy captures the owl-bear’s distinctive silhouette, with a stocky body, broad paws, a light-coloured beak and two large, expressive eyes. Its fur combines brown and cream patches made from short- and long-pile fabrics, to distinguish the feathers on the face, belly and the rest of the body.

This version stands out for its combat gear. Grey fabric armour protects its back and flanks, whilst brown elements and stitched details evoke plates, straps and protective gear suited to the creature. These pieces remain flexible to preserve the softness of the soft toy whilst giving it the look of a companion ready to join a team of adventurers.

Origin and lore of the creature

The owl-bear is a fantastical creature from the Dungeons & Dragons universe, whose rules and part of the bestiary are featured in Baldur’s Gate 3. It combines the power and general build of a bear with the head, beak and certain features of a large bird of prey. Its strength, claws and territorial nature make it a particularly dangerous opponent for ill-prepared adventurers.

In Baldur’s Gate 3, players may encounter a female owl-bear protecting her cub in a cave near the Druids’ Grove. Depending on the decisions made during the adventure, the cub may subsequently join the party’s camp and become a much-loved companion.

Initially wary and guided by its instincts, the young owl-bear can gradually grow accustomed to the adventurers’ presence. Interactions at camp help to gain its trust, particularly by feeding it and looking after it. It also develops an amusing relationship with Gratte, the dog who may join the party.

The armoured version refers to the possibility of seeing the now-adult cub take part in the final battle, equipped with armour to support the player’s allies. This appearance transforms the little creature encountered at the start of the journey into a powerful combat companion, whilst serving as a reminder of the bond forged with it throughout the adventure.
