This Banpresto figurine depicts Yujiro Hanma, nicknamed ‘the strongest creature on Earth’, in a spectacular Version A from the Grandista collection. Standing approximately 27 cm tall, it immediately stands out thanks to its all-gold finish, which covers both the figure and his clothing, transforming the sculpture into an almost statuesque representation of the fighter.
Yujiro is depicted bare-chested, with both arms raised high and spread wide above him, his fingers splayed in a theatrical and provocative pose. His aggressive expression, his spiked hair and the angle of his body perfectly convey his absolute self-assurance. Above all, this pose allows the character’s extraordinary muscular development to be fully showcased.
The sculpture places great emphasis on anatomy: the pectorals, abdominals, shoulders, arms and forearms are particularly well-defined, with numerous visible veins. The back, too, features highly detailed work on the various muscle groups, directly evoking the extraordinary physical power that characterises Yujiro in the work. Banpresto specifically highlights his muscular mass, sculpted veins and provocative pose as the key elements of this Grandista.
Yujiro wears loose-fitting trousers with deeply sculpted pleats, paired with shoes. The monochrome gold finish covers the entire figure with a shiny metallic sheen, making every contour stand out in the light. This Version A is therefore a particularly stylised interpretation of Yujiro rather than a reproduction in his usual colours.

Character background and lore
Yujiro Hanma is the father of Baki Hanma and the man known as ‘the strongest creature on Earth’. The official Baki website describes him as a fighter possessing enough power to single-handedly wipe out military units and capable of bringing down a gigantic elephant with his bare hands – an elephant that conventional weapons were unable to stop. His strength is such that he is monitored by the world’s major powers.
Yujiro is constantly on the lookout for opponents capable of pushing him to his limits and regards strength as one of the fundamental criteria for determining a person’s worth. This extremely brutal philosophy directly shapes the life of his son Baki, much of whose journey involves improving his skills enough to one day challenge his father.
After overcoming numerous opponents, Baki eventually challenges Yujiro in what the series presents as the greatest father-son feud in history. Their confrontation pushes both Hanmas to use their abilities to the full and represents the culmination of several years of rivalry. At the end of this fight, Yujiro acknowledges the growth and power his son has attained.
This Grandista Version A visually captures this almost mythological aspect of Yujiro: his entirely gold finish, his triumphant stance and his exaggeratedly detailed musculature present not merely a fighter, but a true embodiment of absolute physical power.
