Meet Hideyoshi Kinoshita from *Baka and Test* with this figurine from the BiCute Bunnies range, produced by FuRyu. Standing approximately 28 cm tall, this version depicts the character in a ‘bunny’ outfit specially designed for the collection, combining a generous scale with the visual style characteristic of this range of figurines.
Hideyoshi is depicted standing in a shiny black bunny suit, complemented by black fishnet stockings, heels, white cuffs, a small blue tie and a headband with long rabbit ears. His short brown hair, green eyes and hair clips are also faithfully reproduced, whilst his pose plays with one of the costume’s ears to emphasise the light-hearted nature of this interpretation.
Made primarily from PVC, the figurine measures approximately 28 cm and is part of FuRyu’s BiCute Bunnies range. Its large size and slender silhouette give it a striking presence on display, whilst still falling within the manufacturer’s range of affordable prize figurines.
Hideyoshi Kinoshita is a pupil in Class 2-F at Fumizuki Academy, the school at the heart of *Baka and Test*. In this universe, pupils are divided into classes according to their academic results and can use their marks to make summoned creatures fight in the ‘Summoner Test Wars’. The original series is a school comedy and relies heavily on these battles as well as on the relationships between the pupils.
Hideyoshi is the younger twin brother of Yūko Kinoshita, a pupil in the prestigious Class 2-A. His striking resemblance to his sister and his androgynous appearance regularly lead to misunderstandings: although he is a boy, many characters mistake him for a girl, which is one of the series’ recurring gags.
A relatively calm and helpful member of Class F, Hideyoshi has, above all, a real talent for drama and impersonation. He is able to mimic the mannerisms and even the voices of other characters, a skill that his classmates sometimes put to good use in their strategies. His summoned form, meanwhile, fights with a naginata and wears an outfit inspired by a hakama.
This BiCute Bunnies version does not correspond to any specific transformation from the story: it offers an alternative interpretation of the character in the distinctive aesthetic of the FuRyu range, whose rabbit costumes and fishnet stockings are the defining visual elements.
