This Hasbro Marvel Legends Series articulated figure depicts Lord Doom, also known as Victor Von Doom, in his new incarnation from the Marvel Studios film *Avengers: Doomsday*. Standing approximately 15 cm tall, it features premium design, detailing and articulation. Hasbro states that this interpretation of the character is based on the concept art created for the film, allowing fans to see what he looks like ahead of the film’s cinema release.

The figure retains several elements immediately associated with the ruler of Latveria: his impenetrable metal mask, his armour and his large hooded cape. Victor Von Doom, better known as Doctor Doom, is one of the most significant long-standing adversaries in the Marvel Universe and, above all, the iconic nemesis of the Fantastic Four. Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, he made his first appearance in Fantastic Four No. 5, published in July 1962. In that very story, Doom confronted Reed Richards and his team, forcing them to travel through time to recover Blackbeard’s treasure.

Victor hails from Latveria, a fictional European kingdom of which he eventually becomes the ruler. His story is that of a man endowed with exceptional scientific intelligence, whose ambitions, experiments and personal traumas gradually lead him to the throne. Marvel describes his journey as spanning from his early years in Eastern Europe to his studies in New York, then on to his scientific successes and finally his rise to power in Latveria.

Doom stands out above all for his mastery of two disciplines rarely combined to such a high degree in a single character.
