ASTROBOT - Alarm Clock 18.1cm

This officially licensed PlayStation Paladone alarm clock showcases Astro Bot in an accessory that is both practical and decorative. The little robot sits on top of a digital alarm clock in the white, black and blue colours characteristic of his world.

The digital display makes it easy to check the time, whilst Astro himself is used to control certain functions of the alarm clock. A simple press on his head activates the snooze function to delay the alarm. Pressing Astro also activates a night light that emits a soft glow, ideal for a bedside table.

Powered by three AA batteries, the alarm clock requires no power cable and can easily be placed in a bedroom, on a desk or in a gaming area. Measuring approximately 18 cm, it combines a clock, an alarm clock and a decorative item inspired by the PlayStation universe.

Character background and lore

Astro is the iconic little robot from the games developed by Team Asobi for PlayStation. Following his first appearances in *The Playroom*, he became the hero of *Astro Bot Rescue Mission* and then *Astro’s Playroom*, a title designed specifically to showcase the features of the PlayStation 5 and the DualSense controller.

In Astro Bot, the PS5 mothership is destroyed and its crew of robots find themselves scattered across different galaxies. Astro then sets out to find them, exploring numerous planets, battling various enemies and utilising a wide variety of abilities and equipment.

Recognisable by his white and blue robotic body, large digital eyes and expressive manner, Astro has become one of PlayStation’s modern mascots. This Paladone alarm clock directly replicates his appearance, featuring the character as the control for the snooze function and the night light.
