Origin and character background
Directly inspired by the 1986 cult animated filmAn American Tail, directed by Don Bluth and produced by Steven Spielberg, this figurine features one of the most endearing characters in film pop culture. Tiger is a huge ginger tabby cat belonging to the New York cat gang. Unlike his ferocious fellow cats who mercilessly hunt rodents, this big, sensitive tomcat has one major quirk: he is a vegetarian, loves music and is afraid of his own shadow. His chance encounter with the young, lost mouse Fievel Mousekewitz leads to a wonderful friendship, proving that kindness overcomes prejudice.
This Funko Pop! figure captures his portly figure, bright orange coat, tousled mane and warm, cheerful expression with great graphic fidelity and meticulous detail. A nostalgic must-have to bring warmth and colour to the heart of your display cabinet.
