This Ace Combat model kit from Kotobukiya depicts the ADF-01 FALKEN, a highly advanced fictional fighter aircraft from the Bandai Namco universe. Produced on a 1/144 scale, the assembled model measures approximately 16.8 cm in length and reproduces the aircraft’s futuristic silhouette based on data from the game and in collaboration with PROJECT ACES.
This version is available in the ‘Wardog’ Skin #07 livery from Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown. Several parts of the aircraft are pre-coloured to reproduce this livery, whilst water-slide decals allow the various markings and emblems to be added. Kotobukiya offers a separate ‘For Modelers Edition’ moulded in dark grey for modellers wishing to create their own livery.
The kit uses a snap-fit system that requires no glue. The landing gear and weapon bays can be configured using interchangeable parts, whilst various accessories allow you to reproduce different combat configurations of the ADF-01.

Origin and background of the aircraft (Lore)
The ADF-01 FALKEN is a fictional high-tech aircraft from the Ace Combat franchise. Within the series’ universe, it is developed by North Osea Gründer Industries and represents the culmination of military technologies originating from Belka.
The aircraft is designed as a particularly high-performance fighter, combining excellent manoeuvrability, stealth capabilities and experimental weaponry. Bandai Namco describes it, in particular, as capable of using a high-powered laser as well as FAEB thermobaric bombs. In Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, its three available special weapons are the TLS, 4AAM missiles and FAEBs.
The TLS, or Tactical Laser System, is one of the FALKEN’s most iconic features. The distinctive design of its nose allows the laser system to be exposed when in use, a transformation that Kotobukiya has faithfully reproduced on this model using interchangeable parts.
The FALKEN is part of the Advanced Dominance Fighters family, a series of particularly sophisticated experimental aircraft from the Ace Combat universe. It appears in various forms and liveries throughout the franchise, and notably becomes a playable aircraft in Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War, Ace Combat Zero and Ace Combat 7.
The livery on this model kit is based on the ‘Wardog’ scheme featured for the ADF-01 in Ace Combat 7. ‘Wardog’ is the name associated with the Osea Air Force’s 108th Tactical Fighter Squadron, based at Sand Island, a central unit in Ace Combat 5. This livery therefore links the FALKEN to one of the series’ most recognisable squadrons.
