Origin and background of the character
Directly inspired by the electrifying and memorable stage performances of the Australian-British hard rock band AC/DC®, formed in 1973, this figurine features its co-founder and iconic lead guitarist, Angus Young. Known for his boundless stage energy and frenetic solos, he has established himself as a key figure in rock history by adopting his famous British schoolboy uniform, an idea suggested at the time by his sister Margaret. Whether performing his famousduck walk or setting stadiums alight with ‘Back in Black’ or ‘Highway to Hell’, he brings an inimitable flair to musical pop culture.
This Funko Pop! figure captures his retro schoolboy outfit with remarkable graphic fidelity, presented here in an emerald green velvet version with a matching cap bearing the letter "A". Wielding his Gibson SG guitar with its distinctive contours, he strikes a dynamic pose on stage, making this piece an absolutely exceptional choice to take pride of place at the top of your rock icon display.
