Based on the world of the famous PAC-MAN arcade game, this Banpresto soft toy features the yellow hero in a large size of approximately 28 cm. Part of the Super Big Plush collection, it deliberately retains the extremely simple design that has made the character instantly recognisable since his debut in arcades.
The soft toy has an almost entirely spherical shape, covered in bright yellow fabric. The face is reduced to its essential elements: two stylised black eyes and a very large, open black mouth occupying a large part of the front. This minimalist design directly echoes the visual cues associated with PAC-MAN, without adding any accessories or elements that might alter its characteristic silhouette.
Measuring approximately 28 cm in both height and width, this ‘Super Big’ version features a generous size and an appearance reminiscent of a round cushion. Its padding and fabric construction mean it can be used both as a soft toy and as a decorative item in a collection dedicated to retrogaming or Bandai Namco franchises.

PAC-MAN first appeared in 1980 in the arcade game developed by Namco. The game’s first public trial took place on 22 May 1980, prior to its release in Japan in July and its launch in the United States in October of the same year. The project is notably associated with designer Toru Iwatani, with Toshio Kai on sound and Shigeo Funaki on programming.
The concept of the original game is based on deliberately accessible gameplay: the player guides PAC-MAN through a maze to eat all the Pac-Dots whilst avoiding the four ghosts chasing him. Power Pellets temporarily reverse the situation, allowing PAC-MAN to eat his pursuers and earn extra points.
This combination of simple rules, fast-paced gameplay and instantly recognisable characters helped make PAC-MAN an international success from its very first year. The official website states that over 100,000 arcade machines were sold in the United States within a year, and the franchise quickly became one of the great icons in the history of video games.
This Super Big soft toy draws directly on that original visual identity: a yellow, round and instantly recognisable shape, transformed here into a 28 cm soft toy that retains the deliberately minimalist aesthetic of the character that first appeared in arcades in 1980.
