Buster Blader is depicted in his distinctive armour, featuring dark blue and metallic tones, accented with gold trim and various colourful details. His horned helmet, angular shoulder guards and the various plates that make up his armour give him the silhouette of a heavily armoured knight. His immense sword is held with both hands in front of him, whilst his legs, spread apart and bent at the knees, give the figure a stable, offensive stance.
The sculpture particularly emphasises the volume of the armour, the various protective plates and the disproportionate size of the weapon. The glossy surfaces and the contrasts between the blue, gold and darker sections capture the monster’s appearance as it features in the Yu-Gi-Oh! universe, whilst ensuring the silhouette remains clearly visible from various angles.
Like other Oshi Works releases, the figurine rests on a standardised square base. Kotobukiya uses a unique system here: the figurine attaches to a printed metal plate integrated into the base using magnets. It is supplied partially assembled and therefore requires only a simple set-up before display.

Character background and lore
Buster Blader is an iconic monster from the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game and a card associated with Yami Yugi and Yugi Muto in the anime series. It is a Level 7 Warrior monster of the EARTH attribute, with 2600 ATK and 2300 DEF.
His speciality is directly linked to Dragons. His official effect allows him to gain 500 ATK for every Dragon monster controlled by the opponent or present in their Graveyard. This mechanic explains his identity as a warrior specifically designed to confront and defeat draconic creatures, a theme that has gradually been developed around the character in the card game.
Buster Blader also shares a historical connection with the Dark Magician. Both monsters serve, in particular, as Fusion materials to summon Dark Paladin, a powerful monster combining the characteristics of the Dark Magician and the anti-Dragon warrior. The game’s universe subsequently developed a whole set of cards centred on Buster Blader and the ‘Destructive Sword’, notably Buster Blader, Master of the Destructive Sword and Buster Blader, the Dragon-Slaying Swordsman, further reinforcing his identity as a dragon hunter.
