Based on Marvel’s Weapon X Programme, this Funko POP! figure depicts X-23, also known as Laura Kinney, a character closely linked to Wolverine and the X-Men universe. Listed under number 1657, it features the signature POP! design, with an oversized spring-loaded head and a stylised interpretation of the character. The figurine stands approximately 10.7 cm tall.
X-23 is depicted here in the thick of the action, striking a dynamic combat pose. She wears an all-black outfit comprising a cropped top, trousers, gloves and boots, whilst an ‘X’ emblem appears at her waist. Her two claws are extended from each hand and a claw springs from her outstretched foot, a direct reference to her adamantium weapons. The figure’s mid-air position is supported by a transparent stand attached to a round base, emphasising the sense of movement.
This version thus emphasises Laura Kinney’s martial skills rather than a static pose. Its compact size means it fits easily into a collection dedicated to the X-Men, Wolverine or, more broadly, Marvel characters. It comes in the traditional Funko POP! window box, allowing the figure to be stored and displayed in its packaging.
Laura Kinney, originally known as X-23, was created from Wolverine’s genetic material to serve as a weapon and an assassin. Raised and trained from childhood for combat, she possesses several abilities inherited from Logan, including a powerful healing factor and adamantium-coated claws. Unlike Wolverine, Laura has two claws on each hand and one claw on each foot.
Created by Craig Kyle and Christopher Yost, X-23 first appeared in the animated series *X-Men: Evolution* before being introduced into the comics in *NYX* #3. After breaking free from the role of a weapon that had been forced upon her, Laura joins the X-Men and takes part in the adventures of X-Force, amongst other things. She eventually takes on the name Wolverine, gradually forging her own identity whilst maintaining a strong connection to Logan’s legacy.
