Origin and character’s universe
Released in 2008 by Pixar Animation Studios, the science-fiction feature film Wall-E depicts a dystopian future in the year 2805, where Earth has become a vast rubbish dump abandoned by humanity. Amidst this chaos of rubbish, a small, sentient compactor robot strives to carry out his daily mission whilst alleviating his loneliness by collecting relics from the past. His routine is turned upside down the day the Axiom spacecraft sends EVE (Extraterrestrial Vegetation Evaluator), a sophisticated evaluation probe searching for signs of plant life. Having fallen head over heels in love, Wall-E will show her his world, share a precious artificial sunset with her, and shake up the fate of the galaxy to save the future of humankind.
