Character background and universe (Lore)
In the vast Transformers mythology, the Insecticons form an independent and terrifying sub-faction, often allied with Megatron’s Decepticons purely out of self-interest. Hailing from the slums of Cybertron and adapted to survive in the most hostile environments, these cybernetic mercenaries share a terrifying trait: an insatiable hunger that drives them to devour organic and metallic matter to convert it into pure energy (Energon).
This elite trio comprises personalities as distinct as they are dangerous:
- Bombshell: The mind master, capable of injecting brain microcapsules into his enemies’ heads to bend their will and turn them into puppets.
- Shrapnel: The electricity manipulator, equipped with powerful antennae capable of channelling lightning and generating waves of incapacitating shocks on the battlefield.
- Kickback: The cynical seducer, a skilled spy who uses his charm and apparent friendliness to extract secrets from his victims before blackmailing them.
Acting like a veritable swarm of technological locusts, their ability to duplicate themselves and ravage entire landscapes in a matter of minutes makes them one of the most unpredictable and feared threats to Optimus Prime’s Autobots.
