Origin and character’s universe
Aired in the late 1990s, the cult CGI animated series Animutants (Transformers: Beast Wars) radically reimagined the lore of Hasbro’s famous franchise. The plot follows the distant descendants of the Decepticons, the Predacons, who have crash-landed on a prehistoric Earth and find themselves pitted against the brave Maximals. To survive the destructive radiation of raw Energon, the robots take on the forms of local organic creatures. The new leader of the Predacons, who has renamed himself Megatron in homage to his illustrious ancestor, chooses to transform into a terrifying purple Tyrannosaurus (T-Rex). A brilliant strategist, a master manipulator and a man of sarcastic politeness, he sports a powerful dinosaur jaw in place of his right arm, capable of firing devastating bursts of plasma. This Funko Pop! figure captures his iconic combat robot form with remarkable accuracy, establishing itself as an essential nostalgic piece for all fans of this legendary era of the saga.
