Origin and world of the character (Lore)
Lilypad is at the heart of the modern themes introduced in the animated film Toy Story 5. In this part of the Disney Pixar film saga, the historic group of traditional toys has to face up to the emergence of connected technologies and screens that capture children's attention. Lilypad, in the form of an interactive tablet, embodies one of these recent developments. Both a play tool for humans and a character with a secret existence of its own, it illustrates the confrontation and generational transition between the old cloth or plastic toys and today's digital world.
