Hasbro reimagines the aquatic inhabitants of the Star Wars universe with this Mon Calamari – Halloween Edition figure from The Black Series collection. Measuring approximately 15 cm, this seasonal edition transforms the Mon Calamari into a greenish-coloured creature inspired by classic amphibious sea monsters, whilst retaining the instantly recognisable features of this iconic species from the galaxy.

The figure features the numerous points of articulation characteristic of the Black Series range and a design specially created for Halloween. The character sports green skin and a dark outfit embellished with colourful details, whilst its equipment reinforces its appearance as a fantastical creature. Hasbro includes a long staff, an electric effect accessory that can be attached to it, and a small Sakavian companion wearing a diving suit, also finished in matching shades of green.

The seasonal presentation extends to the display box, decorated with Halloween-specific colours and illustrations. Origin and character lore

The Mon Calamari are an aquatic humanoid species native to Mon Cala, an ocean planet they share with the Quarren. They are characterised in particular by their rounded heads, large eyes and webbed hands. During the Clone Wars, tensions between the Mon Calamari and the Quarren were exploited by the Separatists, sparking a civil war on their homeworld.

Later, during the Galactic Civil War, Imperial oppression led the Mon Calamari to play a major role within the Rebel Alliance. Their expertise in naval engineering provided the Rebellion with powerful cruisers, including the famous Home One, which Admiral Ackbar commanded during the Battle of Endor.
