Character background and universe (Lore)
Devon Izara is a young Twi’lek trained as a Jedi Padawan by Master Eeko-Dio Daki. Following Order 66 and the rise of the Galactic Empire, master and apprentice are forced to live in hiding to escape the hunt by the survivors of the Jedi Order. They find refuge on the planet Janix, where they try to keep a low profile.
Although well-trained and particularly skilled with her blue lightsaber, Devon finds this hidden existence difficult to bear. Her desire to take action and help those around her regularly clashes with her Master’s caution, as he considers survival to be their priority in a galaxy now controlled by the Empire.
The events of *Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord* take place after *Star Wars: The Clone Wars*. Maul is seeking to rebuild his criminal organisation on a planet still relatively untouched by Imperial control. His path eventually crosses that of Devon, a disillusioned Padawan who could become the apprentice he is seeking to accompany him on his quest for power and revenge.
This VC408 figure depicts Devon precisely as she was during this period, complete with her blue lightsaber, fugitive’s outfit and cape, and is her entry in the Star Wars The Vintage Collection range.
