This Pyramid International magnetic bookmark, officially licensed by Star Wars, features Darth Vader, one of the saga’s most iconic characters. Compact and lightweight, it attaches to a page thanks to two magnetic surfaces that snap together. This system allows you to keep track of your progress in a novel, notebook or diary whilst minimising the risk of losing the bookmark whilst on the move.
The design is entirely dedicated to the Sith Lord. Darth Vader appears at the centre of the composition, clad in his black armour and holding his red lightsaber with both hands in front of him. His helmet is illuminated by the glow of the blade, whilst red flashes and energy effects streak across the dark background. This combination of black and red reinforces the menacing atmosphere traditionally associated with the character.
The vertical format makes full use of the bookmark’s height to depict Darth Vader almost full-length. When the bookmark is folded around a page, its two magnetic halves hold the page securely in place, providing a more stable hold than a bookmark simply slipped into the book.

Character background and universe (Lore)
Darth Vader is the identity adopted by Anakin Skywalker after his fall to the dark side of the Force. Formerly a Jedi Knight and hero of the Clone Wars, Anakin is gradually manipulated by Chancellor Palpatine, who turns out to be the Sith Lord Darth Sidious. Convinced that the power of the dark side could enable him to prevent Padmé Amidala’s death, Anakin eventually became Sidious’s apprentice.
His final physical transformation takes place following his duel with Obi-Wan Kenobi on Mustafar. Seriously injured and burnt, Anakin survives thanks to heavy cybernetic armour and an artificial breathing system. This black armour, his distinctive helmet and the mechanical sound of his breathing become the iconic features of Darth Vader.
In the service of Emperor Palpatine, Vader becomes one of the Galactic Empire’s key instruments. He takes part in the hunt for the Jedi who survived Order 66 and enforces the Emperor’s will across the galaxy. During the Galactic Civil War, he also plays a major role in the fight against the Rebel Alliance and personally sets out in search of Luke Skywalker following the destruction of the Death Star.
The relationship between Luke and Vader ultimately reveals the part of Anakin Skywalker still present within the Sith Lord. Despite years spent in the service of the dark side, his attachment to his son ultimately leads him to turn against the Emperor. This journey, from Jedi hero to Darth Vader and then to his final redemption, is one of the central themes of the entire Star Wars saga.
