Origin and character’s universe
Created by Mike McMahan, Star Trek: Lower Decks is an official comedy animation series that turns the famous science-fiction franchise on its head. It follows the zany daily lives of the junior officers aboard the USS Cerritos, a Federation starship specialising in second contacts. The Moopsy is a creature native to the zoo planet of Nar 3. Beneath its appearance as an adorable, soft and harmless little white ball that lets out cute little squeaks lies a ruthless and extremely dangerous predator. Completely immune to phaser fire, the Moopsy possesses the terrifying ability to instantly suck the bones from its prey through their skin, leaving behind nothing but empty flesh-covered husks. This Funko Pop! figurine brilliantly captures the comical yet terrifying contrast of this mascot, which has achieved cult status amongst fans of the space saga.
