Origin and world of the character
Amy Rose is a leading character in the Sonic the Hedgehog video game franchise, created by Japanese company Sega. First introduced in 1993 in the Sonic the Hedgehog CD game, she is an anthropomorphic pink hedgehog characterised by her quick temper, romantic nature and attachment to the protagonist Sonic. Far from being a passive damsel in distress, she actively participates in the group's adventures and wields her signature weapon, the powerful Piko Piko expandable hammer, in battle. This seasonal themed edition revisits the character for the Halloween festivities, adapting her usual appearance with a witch's outfit including a traditional pointy hat.
