Based on *My Dress-Up Darling* (Sexy Cosplay Doll), this Banpresto figurine depicts Marin Kitagawa in her Arisa Izayoi cosplay, as seen in season 2 of the anime. Part of the GLITTER & GLAMOURS range, it stands approximately 24 cm tall.
Marin strikes a model-like pose here, with her legs crossed, one hand on her hip and the other raised near her face. Her long midnight-blue hair is sculpted with numerous waves and topped with large black rabbit ears. Her smiling, confident expression matches the enthusiastic character she displays when she steps into the shoes of a character for a cosplay.
The outfit replicates Arisa Izayoi’s costume: a black bunny-style ensemble with a long-sleeved top, a bow at the neck, white cuffs, dark tights and high-heeled shoes. Decorative details feature on the thighs, whilst the glossy finish on several elements highlights the outfit’s varying textures. The sculpture rests on a discreet black plinth designed to ensure its stability.

Marin Kitagawa is the main heroine of *My Dress-Up Darling*. A first-year sixth-form student, she also models for magazines and is one of the most popular pupils in her class. Her outgoing and enthusiastic nature contrasts with that of her classmate Wakana Gojo, who is much more reserved. Marin is particularly passionate about anime, manga and video games, and dreams of bringing her favourite characters to life through cosplay.
Her meeting with Gojo plays a decisive role in this passion. He aspires to become a craftsman specialising in the faces of hina dolls and has already mastered numerous sewing techniques. When Marin discovers his skills, she asks him to help her make her costumes. Their collaboration combines Marin’s enthusiasm and knowledge of the characters with Gojo’s technical expertise.
As the series progresses, Marin experiments with many different types of costumes and learns that the success of a cosplay does not depend solely on the overall appearance: the choice of fabrics, proportions, make-up, wigs, accessories and an understanding of the character all contribute to the final result. This passion also becomes one of the key factors that gradually brings Marin and Gojo closer together.
The outfit reproduced by this figurine is from Season 2, during which Marin dresses up as Arisa Izayoi. Bandai Spirits specifically chose this cosplay for this GLITTER & GLAMOURS edition, emphasising its volume and the detailed reproduction of the costume.
This figurine therefore stands out from the many depictions of Marin in her school uniform: it directly highlights what defines a large part of her character, namely her enthusiasm for cosplay and her desire to carefully embody the characters she admires.
