Origin and character’s universe
In Capcom’s Resident Evil survival horror universe, the Chainsaw Man (commonly identified as Dr Salvador) emerges as a memorable enemy from the very start of Resident Evil 4. A resident of the isolated Spanish village of El Pueblo, this farmer is infected by the Las Plagas parasite, which alters his mind and greatly increases his physical strength. Controlled by the Los Illuminados cult, he relentlessly hunts down the protagonist, Leon S. Kennedy. Armed with a chainsaw, the roar of whose engine characterises his appearances, he poses an immediate threat capable of instantly eliminating his target in close combat.
This Funko Pop! figure recreates the character’s clothing and physical features. The Chainsaw Man is depicted wearing his coarse burlap hood tied around his neck, concealing his entire face except for two rudimentary eye holes. He is dressed in his villager’s clothes, comprising a long-sleeved shirt and grubby work trousers. The figurine is depicted gripping his iconic chainsaw firmly with both hands, illustrating his aggressive stance as seen in Capcom’s video game franchise.
