Take the talented little chef from *Ratatouille* with you wherever you go with this 10 cm Rémy soft toy bag clip. Manufactured by Simba Toys under official Disney licence, this miniature accessory combines the softness of a soft toy with a handy hook for attaching it to a bag, pencil case or key ring.
Rémy is depicted standing in his chef’s outfit, with his blue-grey fur, lighter-coloured belly, large pink ears and long snout. His expressive face is completed by large embroidered eyes and a slight smile, which immediately bring to mind his curiosity and enthusiasm. He also wears a large, padded white chef’s hat, symbolising his ambition to become a chef.
A light blue plastic carabiner is attached to the back of the chef’s hat. This allows the soft toy to be quickly attached to a zip, a handle or a suitable ring. Weighing around 20 grams and with its compact size, Rémy is easy to carry without adding any extra weight to the item from which he is suspended.
This little soft toy can also be kept as a collector’s item or decoration. It will easily find its place alongside other Disney and Pixar merchandise dedicated to the culinary world of Ratatouille.
Rémy is a young rat with an exceptionally keen sense of smell and taste. Unlike the rest of his colony, who are content simply to scavenge for food, he dreams of cooking and admires the famous chef Auguste Gusteau, whose motto is that ‘anyone can cook’.
After being separated from his family, Rémy arrives in Paris and discovers the restaurant formerly run by Gusteau. There he meets Alfredo Linguini, a clumsy young employee with whom he forms an unlikely partnership. Hidden beneath his chef’s hat, Rémy guides Linguini’s movements by tugging at his hair, helping him to prepare dishes worthy of a great chef.
Through this secret collaboration, Rémy attempts to prove that talent and creativity can come from the most unexpected places. The chef’s hat worn by this soft toy is a direct reminder of his dream to find his place in a kitchen, despite the prejudices associated with being a rat.
