From the world of Pusheen, this Grupo Erik soft toy keyring transforms the famous tabby cat into a fun tempura-style fried prawn. Compact and lightweight, it can be attached to a set of keys, a bag or a zip fastener thanks to its metal ring.
The design features the elongated, golden silhouette of a breaded prawn, with an orange tail protruding from the end. Pusheen’s face is embroidered on the front, complete with her whiskers, little ears and three distinctive stripes on her forehead. Orange embroidered lines on the body complete the breadcrumb effect and emphasise the food-themed design of this version.
The soft toy is made from polyester and measures approximately 12 cm at its widest point. A small pink strap bearing the name ‘Pusheen’ connects the soft toy to a gold-coloured metal ring, allowing it to be used as a bag charm or key ring.
Pusheen is a round, expressive tabby cat who rose to fame thanks to her animated comics, GIFs and stickers shared online. The official website describes her as a cat who brings smiles and good cheer to her fans, and states that she first appeared in 2010 in a short series of comics created by Claire Belton and written with Andrew Duff.
Pusheen’s adventures are largely based on everyday, humorous situations, with a strong focus on treats and food. The character is regularly depicted in costumes or forms inspired by dishes and desserts, which naturally explains this interpretation as a tempura prawn. Since her online debut, Pusheen has become an international franchise, with soft toys, accessories, stationery, clothing and homeware available in many countries.
