Character background and universe (Lore)

Madoka Kaname is the main heroine of Puella Magi Madoka Magica, an animated series produced by Studio Shaft. An ordinary schoolgirl at the start of the story, her daily life is turned upside down when she meets Kyubey, a mysterious creature capable of granting a wish in exchange for a contract that transforms young girls into magical girls.

Madoka soon discovers that this offer hides a reality far darker than she could ever have imagined. Together with her friend Sayaka Miki, she is confronted with the tragic fate of the magical girls, who are tasked with fighting witches at a heavy cost.

Her bond with Homura Akemi plays a central role in the plot. Homura desperately seeks to alter the course of events in order to protect Madoka, which gradually reveals the exceptional importance Madoka holds in the balance of the world.

Gentle, empathetic and deeply selfless, Madoka Kaname becomes, as the series progresses, a central figure whose choices extend far beyond her own destiny. This 19 cm figurine thus celebrates one of the most memorable characters in the modern magical girl genre.
