Take a trip down memory lane through the history of audiovisual technology with the 1970 Colour Television construction set from the Pop Series collection by Madnesstoys. This scale model pays a captivating visual tribute to the portable televisions that revolutionised living rooms in the late 20th century, combining a vibrant pop-art orange finish, a miniature grey cathode-ray tube screen and a moulded top carrying handle.
The building experience is particularly rewarding and suitable for children aged 8 and over, thanks to its sleek and ingenious design. The front panel features two independent rotary dials to simulate channel changing and volume control, as well as a finely textured side speaker. The top of the set features a pair of fully adjustable ‘rabbit-ear’ antennas to complete its retro look.
