Origin and background of the character
Bruce Lee, born Lee Jun-fan, was a Chinese-American martial artist, actor, director and philosopher who revolutionised action cinema and popularised martial arts in the West during the 20th century. As the creator of Jeet Kune Do, he advocated a fluid and adaptable approach to combat, encapsulated in his famous 1971 television metaphor: ‘Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless, like water (Be Water, my friend)’. This Pop! figurine pays a unique artistic tribute to this quote, which has achieved cult status worldwide, depicting the stylised silhouette of the translucent master who appears to be liquefying. It stands as an essential philosophical and symbolic piece for all martial arts enthusiasts, retro film fans and collectors of pop culture legends.
