Origin and world of the character
Mewtwo is a creature from the global Pokémon media franchise, created by Satoshi Tajiri in 1996 for video game publisher Nintendo. Within the mythology of this universe, Mewtwo is a Psy-type Pokémon introduced in the first generation of games (Red and Blue versions). Unlike the natural species, Mewtwo is the product of genetic manipulation experiments carried out by scientists in a laboratory on the Isle of Cramoisie, aimed at creating a modified and augmented clone from DNA extracted from the mythical Pokémon Mew. It has a grey-purple bipedal humanoid physiology, characterised by a purple tail and major telepathic and telekinetic abilities.
