Origin and background of the character
Bulbasaur is a Grass/Poison-type starter Pokémon introduced in the franchise’s first generation. Given to young Trainers embarking on their adventure in the Kanto region by Professor Chen, it holds a unique place in history as the very first Pokémon to be registered in the National Pokédex. Easily recognisable by its mottled blue-green skin and the plant bulb that has grown on its back since birth, Bulbasaur has become one of the most popular and timeless mascots in the Nintendo universe. This Funko Pop! figurine perfectly captures the cute design and nostalgic spirit of this pop culture classic.
