Origin and background of the character
Bulbasaur is a Grass/Poison-type Pokémon introduced in the first generation of the world-famous Japanese franchise. Easily recognisable by its blue-green colour, dark spots and, above all, the plant bulb growing on its back, it lives in perfect symbiosis with this plant, which grows by absorbing the sun’s rays. A long-standing companion to the first Trainers in Pallet Town, alongside Charmander and Squirtle, Bulbasaur embodies loyalty, perseverance and the beginning of the adventure.
This ‘Soft Colour’ special edition reimagines the original design with a very soft pastel colour scheme. The usual contrasts give way to soothing, pencil-sketch-like shades, transforming this iconic pocket monster into a true showpiece with a minimalist, refined style.
