This Funko POP! Games figure (No. 1272) depicts Morpeko in its Hungry Form, the second distinctive form of this Pokémon native to the Galar region. In keeping with the POP! range’s style, the character retains its round silhouette and large ears whilst adopting the dark colour scheme and aggressive expression characteristic of this transformation.
Morpeko is depicted with a body that is predominantly dark grey and purple. A wide, zigzagging purple stripe runs across its face and belly, whilst its cheeks remain pink. Its narrowed eyes, slanted eyebrows and clenched teeth immediately convey its hungry state and contrast sharply with the more cheerful expression of its Sated Form.
The figure strikes a particularly dynamic pose, with its arms raised and one leg off the ground. A transparent base helps to keep Morpeko in this position. With a stated height of approximately 11.7 cm, this version is noticeably taller than POP! No. 1271, which depicts the Full Mode.

Character background and lore
Morpeko is a Pokémon introduced in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield. Native to the Galar region, it is of the Electric and Dark types and is classified as a Dual-Type Pokémon.
Morpeko continuously generates electricity via the pouches in its cheeks. This activity consumes a great deal of energy, so the Pokémon feels hungry almost constantly. It regularly carries Berry seeds with it so that it can feed quickly.
When it goes without food for too long, its hormonal balance shifts. Its fur then changes colour and its behaviour becomes much more aggressive and erratic: Morpeko thus switches from its Sated Mode to its Hungry Mode. The energy stored in its cheeks also takes on different properties.
Its Ability, ‘Hunger Trigger’, allows it to switch between its two forms during battle. Morpeko remains an Electric and Dark-type in both forms, but its signature move, Free Wheel, changes type: it is Electric-type in Sated Mode and Dark-type in Hungry Mode.
POP! Games No. 1272 depicts precisely this Hungry Mode version, with its dark grey and purple colours, its irritated expression and a much more dynamic pose. It thus forms a complementary pair with POP! Games No. 1271, which is dedicated to Sated Mode.
