Origin and world of the character
Grover Underwood is a character from the world of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, a literary series by Rick Riordan adapted into a TV series. In this story, which blends the modern world with Greek mythology, Grover is no ordinary human being but a satyr, a mythological creature half-man half-beast dispatched by Camp Half-Blood. In the guise of a teenager, he operates clandestinely as a "seeker" and protector of the children of Olympian deities who are still unaware of their divine nature. His initial mission is to escort Percy Jackson to Camp Half-Blood, the only safe haven where young demigods can train and protect themselves from attack by mythological monsters.
