Origin and character background
In the epic world of One Piece, Bepo is a Mink from the Polar Bear tribe and the loyal navigator of the Heart Pirates, under the command of the famous Surgeon of Death, Trafalgar D. Water Law. Instantly recognisable thanks to his bright orange overalls and his martial arts skills, he is a master of the Kempo fighting style. Despite his imposing build and martial prowess, Bepo has an extremely sensitive and shy nature; he has the unfortunate habit of immediately apologising in a comical manner whenever someone makes a disparaging remark about his status as a talking bear. His unwavering loyalty to his captain Law and his significance during the major events of the Wano arc, particularly when he unleashed his Sulong form under the full moon, make him one of the most beloved and respected mascots among the fan community.
