Character background and universe
Charlotte Katakuri is a character from the manga and anime series One Piece, created by Eiichiro Oda. In this world of piracy, he is the second son of the Charlotte family and stands out as one of the three Sweet Commanders in the crew of Big Mom, one of the Four Emperors ruling the New World. Renowned for his advanced mastery of Observation Haki, which allows him to glimpse brief moments of the future, he has also assimilated the properties of the ‘Mochi Mochi’ Devil Fruit, which grants him the ability to generate and manipulate this sticky substance at will during combat. His protracted battle against Monkey D. Luffy on Whole Cake Island constitutes one of the major story arcs of the saga.
