Origin and background of the character
Monkey D. Luffy is the intrepid, elastic young captain with the straw hat, the central protagonist of the global epic One Piece created by Eiichiro Oda, here celebrated in the form of its live-action television series adaptation produced by Netflix. Driven by his ultimate dream of discovering Gol D. Roger’s legendary treasure and becoming the Pirate King, Luffy recruits a crew of talented misfits to sail the dangerous seas of the Grand Line. This specific model is directly inspired by the famous official ‘Wanted Poster’ issued by the Navy, which displays his very first symbolic bounty and marks his official entry into the world of high piracy.
This 20 cm display piece from the "Cable Guys" collection stands out for its original and immersive presentation. The sculpture meticulously highlights the wooden panel or the textured structure imitating the parchment of the wanted poster, enhanced by the facial features of the actor playing Luffy with his confident smile and iconic straw hat. Two discreet support arms extend forward to form an ergonomic and secure platform, keeping your game controllers or smartphones within easy reach. This is an absolute must-have for any gamer looking to add a touch of maritime adventure, texture and practicality to their gaming setup or desk.
