Narrative context and universe (Lore)
In theOne Piece timeline, this character line-up is central to the events of the Egghead Island arc. This narrative arc marks the direct confrontation between Monkey D. Luffy, who has recently attained the rank of Emperor of the Sea, and Admiral Borsalino (Kizaru), dispatched by the World Government to lay siege to the laboratory of the scientist Vegapunk.
The figurine illustrates the contrast between their respective combat abilities. Luffy fights in his awakened form known asGear 5, linked to the mythological properties of theHito Hito no Mi, Model Nika, which grants him total freedom of movement and a fighting style based on cartoon-like techniques. Facing him, Admiral Kizaru uses the powers of the Logia-type Devil FruitPika Pika no Mi(the Flash Fruit), allowing him to generate, control and transform his own body into light to move and attack at extreme speeds.
