Character background and universe
This double sculpture depicts the explosive confrontation taking place on Egghead, the futuristic island of the brilliant scientist Vegapunk, within the monumental One Piece series created by Eiichiro Oda. This epic battle pits the Straw Hat Captain, Monkey D. Luffy—transcending his limits thanks to the divine, elastic power of Gear 5—against the light-speed Navy Admiral Borsalino, wielder of the Pika Pika no Mi Devil Fruit. Banpresto’s “Ichibansho” sub-category is acclaimed worldwide by discerning collectors for its exceptional level of finish, its rigorous anatomical accuracy and the complexity of the poses. This 20 cm diorama meticulously captures the drape of the clothing, the determined facial expressions of the combatants and the shockwave effects, establishing itself as an essential centrepiece to enhance your display cabinet.
