ONE PIECE - Dracule Milhawk - Figure Anime Heroes 17cm

This Bandai articulated figurine from the Anime Heroes collection depicts Dracule Mihawk, nicknamed ‘Hawk’s Eye’, one of the most formidable swordsmen in the One Piece universe. Standing approximately 17 cm tall, it captures his iconic appearance with his wide black hat, long dark coat, open red shirt, mauve trousers and cross-shaped pendant.

The figure has 16 points of articulation, allowing the position of the arms, legs and torso to be adjusted to recreate various combat poses. This articulation enables both a standing display with the weapon at rest and more dynamic poses inspired by Mihawk’s duels. The Anime Heroes range is specifically designed around 17 cm articulated figures that can be posed or displayed.

The main accessory is the imposing black sword Yoru, reproduced with its curved black blade and large, cross-shaped golden hilt. In the One Piece universe, Yoru is one of the twelve supreme-rank blades and is Mihawk’s iconic weapon. Several interchangeable hands are also included to vary the way the sword is held and the character’s poses.

The design faithfully recreates the character’s distinctive silhouette: a thin beard and moustache, narrow eyes, a light-coloured feather attached to his hat, a sleeveless cloak reaching down to his legs, and a large golden cross worn across his chest. The weapon’s proportions deliberately emphasise Mihawk’s presence and immediately evoke his status as a master swordsman.

Character background and universe (Lore)

Dracule Mihawk is known in the world of One Piece by the nickname ‘Hawk’s Eye’. He is officially recognised as the world’s greatest swordsman and was a member of the Seven Great Pirates before the organisation was disbanded. His current bounty stands at 3,590,000,000 berries.

His weapon, Yoru, is a gigantic black blade belonging to the Twelve Supreme Swords, the category comprising the most prestigious bladed weapons in the One Piece universe. Yoru’s size and cross-shaped design perfectly complement Mihawk’s spectacular fighting style and are one of his most distinctive features.

Mihawk appears very early on in Monkey D. Luffy’s adventure when he meets Roronoa Zoro in East Blue. Zoro, who aspires to become the world’s greatest swordsman, challenges him to a duel. Mihawk then demonstrates the vast gulf between their skill levels, going so far as to use a tiny blade before finally drawing Yoru in response to his opponent’s determination. This confrontation makes Mihawk the ultimate goal of Zoro’s personal quest.

Their relationship evolves over time, however. During the two-year time skip, Zoro asks Mihawk to teach him the art of the sword so that he can become powerful enough to protect his crew. Mihawk agrees and thus temporarily becomes the master of the very man who seeks to surpass him one day.

Mihawk also has a past linked to Red-Haired Shanks. The two men once faced each other regularly in duels that became legendary. Following the abolition of the Grand Pirate system, Mihawk joined Crocodile within the Cross Guild, an organisation officially associated with Buggy. Despite this change in circumstances, his title as the world’s greatest swordsman remains central to his identity and continues to make him the benchmark that Zoro seeks to surpass.
