History and background of the model
The character of Jack Skellington, nicknamed "ThePumpkin King", is the central protagonist of the volume-animated filmThe Nightmare Before Christmas, produced by Tim Burton and directed by Henry Selick in 1993. Evolving within Halloween town, this elegant and melancholy skeleton decides to take over the Christmas party after discovering its existence by chance. His room, with its gothic aesthetic and twisted expressionist lines, serves as a laboratory for his research and calculations as he attempts to scientifically appropriate the magic of Christmas.
Developed by Funko, the "Pop! Nooks" collection is directly inspired by the trend for book nooks (mini-dioramas to slip between books). The series uses the background and architecture of a key film location to create a new visual dimension for libraries and exhibition spaces.
