Character background and lore
In the ninja universe created by Masashi Kishimoto, Naruto Uzumaki is a young orphan who grew up in solitude and faced rejection, harbouring within him the fearsome nine-tailed fox demon, Kurama, sealed within him at birth. Far from succumbing to bitterness, he transforms this suffering into an unshakeable moral strength, vowing to train relentlessly to overcome his status as an outcast, earn the respect of his peers and become the Hokage, the supreme leader of the Hidden Village of Konoha. After several years of intensive training across the world under the legendary master Jiraiya, Naruto returns, transformed, in the Shippuden era. Having mastered iconic techniques such as the Rasengan (Whirling Orb) and Hermit Mode, he faces the threats posed by the criminal organisation Akatsuki whilst pursuing his promise to save his friend Sasuke Uchiha from the darkness.
