This Banpresto soft toy depicts Akamaru, Kiba Inuzuka’s faithful canine companion in the Naruto universe. Part of the Lying Down Plush collection, it is depicted lying fully stretched out, showcasing its soft, compact silhouette. It measures approximately 13 cm in height and has a total length of approximately 28 cm.
Akamaru is depicted lying on his stomach, with all four legs stretched out and his head raised slightly. His distinctive white coat is accented with light brown patches on his long, drooping ears. His face features his small, dark muzzle and his particularly gentle expression, perfectly suited to this plush toy format.
The ‘Lying Down’ design emphasises a very elongated and cuddly silhouette. Measuring approximately 28 cm in depth and just 13 cm in height, this version can be displayed on a shelf, a desk, a sofa or amongst a collection of Naruto soft toys. Banpresto particularly highlights the soft fur and the reclining pose of this version.
This soft toy is designed as the counterpart to Pakkun, available in the same ‘Lying Down Plush’ collection. Both items have the same overall dimensions, allowing you to bring together two of the series’ most recognisable canine companions.

Origin and character background (Lore)
Akamaru is Kiba Inuzuka’s ninken, or ninja dog. The two companions grew up and trained together, forming a particularly close-knit duo. The official Naruto website notes that Kiba adopted Akamaru when they were young and that they subsequently shared their training, joys and hardships.
Akamaru plays a direct part in Kiba’s battles and is therefore not merely a pet. During the Chūnin Exam, he faced Naruto alongside his master. Both used military pills to boost their chakra and combined their abilities to launch coordinated attacks.
The pair also play a key role during the mission to bring Sasuke back to Konoha. Kiba and Akamaru then fight together against Sakon and Ukon, once again demonstrating their ability to coordinate their ninja techniques with their canine instincts. Their relationship goes far beyond that of a master and his pet: Akamaru is, above all, Kiba’s fighting partner and best friend.
