Discover Katsuki Bakugo in an explosive scene with this Funko POP! Deluxe No. 2592 figurine, inspired by My Hero Academia. Standing approximately 15.7 cm tall, this version depicts the U.A. student in the thick of the action, surrounded by an imposing explosion effect. It also features a glow-in-the-dark Chase variant, distributed at random at a rate of approximately one in six figures
Bakugo appears in his hero costume, recognisable by his black and orange outfit, his angular mask and his imposing grenade-like accessories. The Deluxe display places him in front of a vast explosion cloud, accompanied by the onomatopoeia ‘BOOOOM’ rendered in a style directly inspired by comic books. This presentation adds greater depth and dynamism than a traditional POP! figure.
The Chase version features the same composition, with elements that glow in the dark, visible in the dark after exposure to light. Funko states that this variant is randomly included in packs with a probability of approximately 1 in 6; its inclusion is therefore not guaranteed when purchasing a single figure for a My Hero Academia collection centred on Class 1-A or on the various depictions of Bakugo. Its box, which is larger than that of a standard POP!, is designed to accommodate the figurine and its elaborate explosion backdrop.

Character background and lore
Katsuki Bakugo is one of the leading pupils in Class 1-A at U.A. High School and Izuku Midoriya’s childhood friend turned rival. Endowed with remarkable intelligence, excellent physical abilities and a particularly keen instinct for combat, he has harboured the ambition to become the number one hero from a very young age. His explosive temper and aggressive language contrast with his great determination and the high standards he sets for himself.
His Quirk, Explosion, enables him to produce a nitroglycerine-like substance from the palms of his hands—derived from his sweat—and then detonate it at will. Bakugo uses his explosions both as offensive weapons and to propel himself through the air, abruptly change his trajectory or increase his speed. This versatility, combined with his tactical acumen, makes him one of the most formidable fighters in his year group.
His hero costume has been specially designed to harness this Alter. In particular, his large, grenade-shaped armour plates can store his explosive sweat, whilst his equipment allows him to better control the power and stresses generated by his attacks.
Throughout *My Hero Academia*, Bakugo undergoes a profound transformation. His rivalry with Midoriya remains a key driving force behind his development, but his initial desire to dominate others gradually gives way to a fuller understanding of what it means to be a hero: winning battles, protecting others and working effectively with his allies. His hero name, Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight, perfectly reflects his spectacular nature and his inseparable link with his Quirk, Explosion.
